A 1944 A-11 Closely Re-edited
We've gotten as close as we could to the original 1944 A-11 we purchased as a benchmark. You'll notice that our Type 44 and, the vintage A-11 do not have a second hand counter-balance. A-11s originally did but ours had its own broken off during its lifetime. A mark of its age, we decided to keep that lack of counter-weight for absolute authenticity.

Rec Spec EX - Ti Gray
Description
The Rec Spec EX retains the rugged DNA of the original MACV-SOG-inspired platform but is reimagined in ultra-light, corrosion-resistant Grade 2 Titanium. Its matte bead-blasted case finish offers a stealthy, non-reflective profile ideal for field use — delivering a purposeful tool-watch feel without excess weight.
Specifically on this light gray "titanium" dial, we've took the experimenting a step further by applying luminous paint directly onto the dial for extreme visibility in low-light conditions. Pushing the boundaries of stealth vs. readibility.
The minimalist dial is stripped back for pure functionality — no gloss, no frills, just clear legibility in any condition. A subtle nod to 1960s mil-spec watches, the applied indexes are not luminous so as to create a contrast with the full luminous dial.
Sized at 38mm and fitted with a 4-Hour integrated crown for added protection, the Rec Spec EX wears slim and secure on-wrist — whether you’re deployed or desk-bound. Inside ticks the reliable NH36 TMI automatic movement, offering 39 hours of power reserve, hacking seconds, and a day-date complication true to the original mission-ready spec.
