A-5 UDT - Blue Sunray

The A-5 UDT was designed to meet an operational need that has existed ever since men could dive: reliable timekeeping underwater. Based off an original USN BUSHIPS design, this dive watch exudes ruggedness with its oversized crown and solid case. During WW2, this system was the only way for Underwater Demolition Teams to safely ensure their watches’ water-resistance during extended dive missions.

We've brought a little twist on the original black dial design with a sunray blue dial. The sunray dial finish catches the light to bring out its deep blue color. We've also switched from the standard white indexes to a light blue index (and luminous) to bring this watch a bit more originality and modernity. 

The most versatile sports strap we’ve had yet - the Blue Tropic Strap features a vintage criss-cross pattern for added softness on the wrist while the punched holes allow breathability under the strap. Dries in an instant & does not fear any kind of liquid - this strap balances out the vintage field watch aesthetic while still providing all the ruggedness. Or, pair this with our first Solid Stainless Steel Beads of Rice Bracelet for maximal durability.

Engineered for the deep, the A-5 UDT features a 38mm sandblasted stainless steel case and 20 ATM water resistance, ready for serious submersion. Its double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflection coating ensures clarity in harsh light, while the Miyota 9015 automatic movement delivers reliable performance without compromise. Finished with a 20mm strap fit and rugged silhouette, this watch is purpose-built for those who operate below the surface.

Thanks to our expertise & quality materials your watch will require very little day-to-day care. You can help preserve its lustre by washing the case and bracelet from time to time using soapy water and a soft brush. Before cleaning your watch, always ensure that the winding crown is properly pushed down to guarantee waterproofness.
