What does Praesidus mean ?
Praesidus is an American watch brand established in 2019 that specialises in military heritage timepieces. Founded by Remi Chabrat and his son Oscar, the company’s mission is to recreate rugged, reliable watches that honour military veterans and historical designs. The brand’s name is derived from Latin for “protector” reflecting its tribute to those who stand watch and defend freedom.
Is Praesidus an American brand ?
Praesidus is an American based in Phoenix, Arizona. Our products are assembled in the United States and shipped from our warehouse in the US.
ORDER PROCESS
What payment methods can I use to pay for my watch ?
We accept a wide range of payment methods, including Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay. Available options may vary by country, and the full list of locally accepted payment methods is displayed at checkout.
Can I make changes to my order ?
If you need to make changes to your order, please contact us at support@praesidus.com within 24 hours of placing it. We’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
As we aim to ship orders promptly, typically within 24 to 72 hours. Please note that once your order has been dispatched, changes can no longer be made.
If any adjustments are required once your order has reached the courier facility in your country for change of address or reshipment, please be aware that you will be responsible for any related costs, including additional shipping fees, duties, or taxes.
Are your watches displayed at any authorized retailers ?
Yes, currently all our watches are sold on our website, Amazon and some selected authorized dealers across the world.

SHIPPING AND DELIVERIES
Do you offer free shipping ?
Yes! Praesidus offers free standard delivery on all orders above $259 in the United States, partnering with trusted carriers such as FedEx, UPS and USPS. For global shipments, you may face an extra charge depending on your region. Delivery times vary by destination but typically range from 2 to 10 business days after your order is placed.
Depending on your region, taxes and duties may be included. You will see full details at your checkout page.
Some countries & regions may be excluded from our shipping policy and we will not be able to ship to these. If that is the case, you will not be able to checkout; please choose another country to ship to.
Where do your watches ship from ?
All our watches are shipped from Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
What is your return policy ?
Regardless of the reason, you can do it within 30 days after receiving your order. Only Praesidus watches purchased on the website can be returned or exchanged.
Before shipping your return, please contact our customer service team support@praesidus.com, emphasizing the reason for your return.
If you contact us for a return or an exchange before the order is dispatched, you return/exchange will be free of charge. Otherwise, we may charge a standard shipping fee depending on the reason for return.
Items should be in the same condition as received, in its original packaging with all original tags and protections attached and never worn.
For returns you have two options :

- Receive a voucher on your account, with the amount of your purchase and use it for your next order
For an exchange :
- Choose a different item of the same value
- Receive a tracking number for your replacement
Please note that watches with custom engravings are not refundable.
What is your return process ?
Our return process is easy. Send us an email to support@praesidus.com stating your order number, email address (used to place the order), and phone number (active).
A member of our customer service team will get back to you within 48 hours of your request (with the exception of weekends).
CARING FOR YOUR WATCH
How should I care for my watch ?
To keep your watch in optimal condition, we recommend gently cleaning it from time to time using a microfibre cloth and a soft brush to prevent dirt and grime buildup. Additionally, we suggest having your watch professionally serviced every 5-7 years.
For quartz watches not in regular use, we recommend replacing dead batteries as soon as possible to avoid rust and inside leaks.
What should I avoid doing with my watch ?
Our watches are designed to be rugged and dependable for everyday wear, built to perform across a range of conditions. That said, we recommend taking some basic precautions to ensure their longevity.
Avoid exposing your watch to continuous strong shocks, heavy vibrations, or extreme temperatures. Keep it away from strong magnetic sources such as speakers, as it can affect timekeeping accuracy.
Can I swim with my watch ?
Our watches are water-resistant, and we generally do not mind swimming with them as long as the specification on our website indicates 10ATM water-resistance or more. Leather straps are recommended to avoid prolonged and frequent exposure to water. Although, if it gets wet accidentally, it should not get damaged.
As for diving activities, water resistance varies across our collections, so it's important to follow the guidelines for your specific model.
Please ensure that the crown is always securely screwed down or fully pushed in (where applicable) to maintain water resistance.
Do your watches come with warranty ?
All our watches come with a standard 2-year warranty, valid from the date of delivery.
What issues does the warranty cover ?
Our warranty covers all manufacturing defects, which may occasionally occur due to the precise tolerances involved in watchmaking. These issues might not be immediately apparent upon delivery, but the warranty is in place to ensure they are properly addressed.
Please note that accessories, such as straps, are not covered under the general warranty. However, if you believe there is a manufacturing defect with an accessory, feel free to contact us at support@praesidus.com.
Kindly note that damages that arise due to improper use and general wear-and-tear that arises due to daily use are not eligible for replacement.
How long does servicing take ?
For dysfunctional watches under warranty, servicing typically takes between 8 to 12 weeks, including shipping time. Though this may vary depending on your location and the scope of the work required.
