A-11 Combat

The A-11 Combat is our attempt at taking our homage to this legendary tool watch a step further by using the original WW2 32mm case size.

By today’s standards, 32mm is rarely seen for a men’s watch however, back in the 40s it was anything but. With numerous A-11s produced during the war, these were meant to equip Allied Soldiers during combat. Its small size was intentional, allowing for it to be unobtrusive of wrist movement during combat and less resource intensive to produce. Largely regarded as a massive success, it performed admirably in all conditions as a simple yet effective military tool watch.

This decision to launch the A-11 Combat comes after we bought up a vintage Elgin A-11 on E-bay. We de-assembled it, studied each and every component and decided that we had to take a leap and re-launch an authentically sized A-11 homage.

Despite going with the authentic 1942 case size, we’ve brought on a couple of modernizations to our A-11 Combat. Most notably, we use a Stainless Steel case (instead of the original brass or silver cases) and have upgraded the movement to an ultra precise Swiss Ronda Movement. We also took the liberty to use Super Luminova on our dials to ensure low-light visibility in all circumstances.

All our A-11s are assembled directly in the United States and, the A-11 Combat is no exception.
