Praesidus x T.W.O. A-11 Type 44
Description
The Praesidus x T.W.O. A-11 Type 44 is a contemporary tribute to the young aircrews who risked their lives during World War II. Developed in collaboration with aviation specialist Gregory Pons, this limited edition reissue captures the spirit of the 1943 pilot watch with modern upgrades for today’s wearer.
It features our original 38mm stainless steel case, a patinated dial reflecting 1940’s styling, the Swiss-Made Landeron L21 movement, and 100 meters of water resistance, ensuring durability and precise timekeeping that far exceeds that of vintage originals.
The engraved caseback brings the story into sharp focus. The design is directly inspired by the insignia of the 533rd Bomb Squadron, one of the B-17 units that helped liberate Europe. At its center, a skull is pierced by a missile and topped with a Roman legionnaire’s helmet, symbolizing both the destructive force of air warfare and the unbreakable resolve of those who flew. It is a bold, raw, and unapologetic tribute to the crews who went to war and never came back.
Limited to 250 pieces, this collector’s watch blends aviation aesthetics with metropolitan reliability. It stays true to its wartime roots while delivering the performance and build quality expected by collectors.
Built for the air, crafted for the ground, and engraved for those who never came back.
American Assembled as always.
