The Praesidus x National Medal of Honor Museum A11 Type 44 marks the beginning of our Bespoke Handpainted Dial Program, a new initiative where collectors can commission custom-painted dials that reflect their personal story, service, or heritage. This Museum Edition stands as the first example, a tribute crafted not for sale, but for legacy.

Developed in collaboration with the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington, Texas, this special edition celebrates the timeless values of valor, integrity, and service. Built on our A11 Type 44 platform, it features a stainless steel case, Swiss-made Landeron L21 movement, and 10 ATM water resistance, delivering rugged reliability that honors its 1940s roots.

Each dial is hand-painted by artisans and features a composition rich in symbolism:

Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and warfare The American Bald Eagle, representing strength, freedom, and national pride A light blue toga, referencing the Medal of Honor ribbon Olive branches, symbolizing peace through sacrifice

Limited to just five uniquely hand-painted pieces, this edition carries a public MSRP of $1,500. None will be made available for sale. All five watches have been donated by Praesidus Watch Co. to the National Medal of Honor Museum to support their mission of honoring America’s heroes. These timepieces will be featured as raffle items during the Museum’s November Gala, serving as both art and tribute to the spirit of those who have served with distinction.

The A-11 Type 44 features a 38mm surgical-grade stainless steel case with a 13mm thickness, offering a solid yet balanced presence on the wrist. Its 45mm lug-to-lug profile and 20mm lug width ensure a comfortable fit, paired with a matching 20mm strap. The case is finished with a polished surface that complements its vintage-inspired design, while the double-dome acrylic glass with anti-reflective coating adds clarity and period-correct charm. Built to endure, it’s water-resistant to 10 ATM and powered by the Swiss-made Landeron L21 movement, guaranteeing reliable precision and durability worthy of its military heritage.

Thanks to our expertise & quality materials your watch will require very little day-to-day care. You can help preserve its lustre by washing the case and bracelet from time to time using soapy water and a soft brush. Before cleaning your watch, always ensure that the winding crown is properly pushed down to guarantee waterproofness.
