The hour and minute indexes echo the hand-painted nature of wartime production, complete with the subtle irregularities that defined the originals. Those micro-faults weren’t corrected, they were preserved to maintain the character and honesty of the watch. The stainless steel case reinforces that field-watch intent: a sandblasted main body removes unwanted shine, while polished lugs reference the chrome-plated cases used on original A-11s, balancing authenticity with thoughtful reinterpretation.

Olive Green: A Field Dial Rooted in the 1940s

The Spec 2 Ameriquartz Olive Green is the most expressive variation of the A-11 reinterpretation, pulling directly from 1940s U.S. military history. The dial color is inspired by the “Frog Skin” M1942 camouflage worn by U.S. Marines during the Pacific campaign, a bright olive green developed to blend with tropical foliage. That reference gives this limited edition a distinctly period-correct feel while introducing a fresh, modern tone to a design that has remained largely unchanged for over 80 years. It looks and feels like a true A-11 from 1942, reimagined for the 21st century.
