Americana Pipedream X Praesidus

Designed in collaboration with Americana Pipedream Apparel, this 100-piece limited edition pays tribute to the different types of dress patterns used during the Vietnam War.

Inspired by three iconic patterns from the field — Tiger Stripe, OG-107, and ERDL Camo — we built this release from the ground up with purpose and authenticity in mind. To that effect, Americana Pipedream sent us actual pieces they sourced of ERDL & Tiger Stripe so we could get our patterns absolutely perfect.

Two custom camo straps were developed exclusively for this drop: a leather Tiger Stripe strap and a rugged ERDL camo canvas strap — each capturing a distinct chapter of the conflict’s gear history.

A nod to the classic OG-107 uniform green can be found on the date window — a subtle detail honoring the standard issue of U.S. troops deployed in Vietnam.

At its core, the Rec Spec is a tribute to the legendary MACV-SOG Watch — a non-issued timepiece often sourced from local Asian markets by elite MACV-SOG units. These covert operators required gear that flew under the radar — untraceable and unregulated — for missions deep in Laos and Cambodia.
