The A-5 UDT Abyss Blue stays true to the uncompromising DNA of the original U.S. Navy BUSHIPS dive watch while introducing a more nuanced, modern expression. Designed around the same operational requirement that guided WWII Underwater Demolition Teams, absolute reliability underwater, this model retains the oversized crown and solid case architecture that historically ensured water resistance during prolonged dive missions. The shaded Abyss Blue dial transitions from deep navy to lighter blue tones, echoing the descent into open water while preserving the watch’s utilitarian roots.

The 38mm sandblasted stainless-steel case reduces glare and delivers 20 ATM (660 ft) of water resistance, making the Abyss Blue fully capable of serious submersion. A double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, where deeply embossed indexes and a raised minute track provide clear visual separation and depth. Light blue Super-LumiNova replaces traditional white lume, maintaining strong contrast while adding a contemporary character that remains readable in low-light and underwater conditions. Branding and collection markings are embossed rather than printed, staying discreet and functional.
