In order to help Tom Rice find his watch again, the “Lost Watch of D-Day” does not move away much from its original design. Along with the clean black dial to highlight its lumed hands and numbers, the watch also comes with a canvas strap just like Tom’s lost timepiece. Bringing this piece of history to remind us of the greatest generation of men, a commemorative engraving on the 42mm caseback is also put in place.

A-11 Tom Rice Watch

Got the watch yesterday. It is on my wrist as I write this. My father passed down to me my first watch when I was young, a watch that looked a lot like this one. This Praesidus A-11 watch is a great field watch; it has the specs to stand out as a field watch on it's own. I have field watches from Hamilton, One Eleven, Glycine, and Swiss Watch Company - the Praesidus A-11 is the best field watch of them all. I wear this watch because it is a great field watch, but also to honor Tom Rice and the other brave men of The Greatest Generation who fought for us in WW2. I also wear it in honor of my father and that watch he gave me those many years ago.

Inexpensive but charming

This is a simple watch, no sapphire, no applied anything, no high end movement... but it is very true to its original inspiration. I find it endearing and fun to wear and attractive in its authenticity
